This bangle is built as a rigid, unbroken oval rather than a flexible chain construction, giving it real substance and a continuous line around the wrist. Solid gold throughout rather than hollow, it carries genuine weight in the hand, distinct from lighter tube or hollow-core bangles of a similar width. The surface is finished in a deep, high-polish gold with no faceting or texture to interrupt it, so the light runs smoothly along its full curve as it moves.
A hinge sits at one point on the band, opening on a small pin mechanism to allow the bangle onto the wrist before closing flush against the join; the hinge is kept as unobtrusive as possible, sitting nearly invisible against the polished surface rather than reading as a separate fitting.
